MEET ALEX

 

Alex House grew up in rural Monroe county, Alabama as the son of a single mother who worked as a secondary school teacher. He worked hard to do well in school and graduated Valedictorian of his class. After high school, Alex went on to excel as a student at The University of Alabama where he earned a B.A. in Political Science and received numerous prestigious honors including being inducted into the Pi Sigma Alpha honor society.

For the past several years, Alex has dedicated his life to helping students to succeed in college, and he currently serves as an Academic Advisor at a Huntsville university. He’s passionate about helping people to pursue their educational and occupational goals. 

Having grown up in a middle class home headed by a single mother, Alex knows all too well how challenging life has become for working families throughout Alabama. Unfortunately, things seem to be getting worse rather than better. The people who we have elected to help us are either incompetent or completely out of touch, or both.

The good news is that all is not lost. If we elect better leaders and make structural changes, we can make the government work for people again. It will not come easy or without a fight, and that’s precisely why we need a fighter like Alex House in Montgomery. Alex will never back down to corporate lobbyists or special interests, and he’ll always be fully accountable to the people of north Alabama. The wealthy and powerful have many voices advocating for them in Montgomery. Let’s start leveling the playing field!
